Mrs. Molly Fristik
First Grade Teache
Mrs. Fristik received her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Miami University. After graduating she began her career teaching First Grade at St. Joseph Catholic School in her home town of Cincinnati, Ohio. After getting married, Mrs. Fristik and her husband Joe and moved to his home town of Cleveland. Here she began teaching at St. Barnabas Catholic School in Northfield, Ohio. Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Fristik and her husband moved to Rocky River and made St. Christopher their new home.
“I am very excited to be part of the St. Christopher Family! I am committed to providing a safe and fun learning environment for my students. I strive to instill a love of learning in each child that walks into my classroom.”
In her free time, Mrs. Fristik, enjoys traveling, playing golf and practicing yoga, spending time with her husband and family and watching Cleveland sports (although the Cincinnati Reds will always be her favorite team).
Mrs. Mindy Deckert
First Grade Teacher
“I am really looking forward to another exciting school year,” says Mindy Deckert. “As one of the first grade teachers, I will provide an exciting and safe learning environment full of hands-on and technology-based learning experiences.”
No stranger to St. Christopher School, Mrs. Deckert previously taught literacy and math intervention here for three years before briefly relocating to Columbus with her family. She also taught second grade for five years at St. Ignatius of Antioch in Cleveland.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University, a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from BGSU and was recently qualified by the State of Ohio to teach reading and meet the requirements of the Ohio Third Grade Reading Guarantee.
A native of Northeast Ohio, Deckert grew up in North Olmsted and today resides in Westlake with her husband, Brian, and two beautiful daughters, Olivia Mae and Alyssa Anne.
