Operation Christmas Child

During the month of November St. Christopher School is participating in Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is an organization under the foundation of Samaritan’s Purse that distributes Christmas presents and God’s message of love and the Good News of Jesus Christ to children around the world.

During the last week of October, students learned about Operation Christmas Child in their classroom. Student Government officers shared with our students the goal of Operation Christmas Child and its message of God’s love and how we can serve those in need.

The school filled 170 shoeboxes with school supplies, toothbrushes, bar soap, combs, washcloths, floss, t-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries), and even toys!   The students decorated the shoeboxes with Christmas wrapping paper and wrote personal cards to include in each box.  Donations were collected to cover the shipping costs of the boxes.
