Mrs. Mary Meler

Third Grade Teacher

Mrs. Meler has a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University and joined the St. Christopher School faculty in 2004. She teaches third grade. Prior to coming to St. Christopher School, Mrs. Meler taught in special education for 15 years. She thoroughly enjoys working with her students and their families and especially grateful to teach at St. Christopher School where her faith can be shared during the school day and integrated into the curriculum.

Mrs. Meler is married to Paul and they have three children – Ann, David, and Elizabeth. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Meler is active in her own parish through service on the Education Commission, Athletic Association and as a Eucharistic Minister. Throughout the year she enjoys taking every opportunity to get together with extended family and friends.

Miss Emily Kerg

Third Grade Teacher

Miss Kerg has a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University. She is a long term substitute for Mrs. Bok this school year, who is on maternity leave with her daughter, Maria. Prior to teaching at St. Christopher School, Miss Kerg worked as a title one tutor in Euclid City schools, was a substitute teacher in the Cleveland area, and worked at a before and after school program. She enjoys working with students of all ages and is especially honored to be working at St. Christopher this school year. She is confident that she will help the students achieve academically and religiously.

Miss Kerg lives in Lakewood and attends St. Mark Parish. She enjoys long walks, reading, and sewing quilts in her spare time for family members and friends. She loves to be adventurous and active outdoors, especially in the winter time.
